History
As
a national real estate investment advisory service firm, National Equity Group LLC’s core was originally founded as National Equity
Advisors, Inc in 1991. Through various partnerships, expansions, and reorganizations, NEG’s presence as a leading commercial real
estate advisory firm has been maintained by the guidance of real estate strategist, John Gerber. As suggested in the broader name,
NEG is pleased to present its services as expanded beyond its traditional advisory firm roots.
Mr. Gerber has led NEG, throughout its
various stages, in providing real estate services on over $4 billion of real estate investment and is known for assisting institutional
clients in meeting their diverse real estate investment needs. NEG’s diverse professional background includes experience in
structured finance, contract negotiations, acquisitions and dispositions, property development, and asset management.
Leadership
National
Equity Group is a team of proven professionals, focused on working as partners to maximize values and achieve uncompromised objectives
of the clients’ real estate investments. This team is lead by the co-founding core of John Gerber and Tyler Gerber.
Mr.
Gerber is President and co-founder of National Equity Group LLC. John is an institutional real estate strategist and advisor with
over 30 years of commercial and institutional real estate experience.
Most recently, John served as a senior real estate executive
for Delaware Investments and as Vice President for Lincoln Realty Capital Corporation (divisions of Lincoln National Life Insurance
Company) where he handled the oversight of real estate equity investing and other real estate equity related concerns.
John
was also prior president of PM Realty Group Investment Services LLC, a national real estate investment advisory service firm formed
when National Equity Advisors Inc. and PM Realty Group Ltd. entered into a strategic transaction to expand the operating business
of National Equity Advisors, Inc.
John previously founded and served as President and CEO of National Equity Advisors Inc., a real
estate investment advisory services firm for institutional real estate investors.
Mr. Gerber is Vice President and co-founder of National Equity Group, where he is involved
in analyzing real estate investments, development and redevelopment opportunities and asset management.
Skilled from an architecture
background, Mr. Gerber has experience in the construction and development industries. Prior to National Equity Group, Mr. Gerber was
associated with various architecture, real estate and development companies, involving projects nationwide.
Mr. Gerber attended
Kent State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, a Masters in Architecture, and a Masters in Business
Administration.
